Prabasi Bengali School is a thirty five years old non-profit language school.The school is the only one of its kind in the East Bay and was established in 1975. It is a non-profit organization, which teaches and promotes Bengali language and culture. It is open to all children who want to learn to read, write and speak Bengali. The school is run by parent volunteers. The class meets every other Sunday for two to three hours. Currently, the school is located in Kehilla Community Synagogue in Piedmont, CA.
