The Department of English at the University of Chicago has played an important role in the transformation of literary studies over the past half century. Our faculty and students have participated centrally in the rethinking and reshaping of the discipline. The intellectual horizons of our current work continue that effort, creating a rigorous and exciting intellectual environment for our students. The Department’s contributions to disciplinary and interdisciplinary innovation are strongly grounded in historical scholarship and in theoretical and conceptual inquiry. They are also encouraged by the University’s long tradition of interdisciplinary research and teaching.
Welcome to the website of the Department of English at CSUSB. The Department offers a Bachelor of Arts in English, with concentrations in Literature, Creative Writing, and Linguistics; a minor in English; a Master of Arts in English Composition with concentrations in Composition, Literature, and Applied Linguistics and Teaching English as a Second Language; and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. In addition, we offer certificate programs in Creative Writing and Professional Writing.

The "DU" in DU English College stands for "Daily Update." We have been updating people's knowledge of English and other areas daily since the year 2000.
We are no longer offering courses in our own classrooms. We now teach in-company at your place of work. We offer both domestic lessons, here at our registered base in Bratislava, and also cross-border services in Vienna, Austria.
