THE CLASSES

The classes take place in our modern-equipped classrooms in the centre of Vienna instead of or in the case of company courses on site. They speak English from the first hour. We train your competence in the correct speaking, reading, comprehension and writing, so you can quickly successfully communicate in English. Our trainers dominate different methodological approaches, it depending on how you the best success may come to apply.

THE KURSSYSTEM

Our group courses are based on the European Framework of Reference for Language Learning and Teaching "by the Council of Europe for all European languages. The services offered include levels A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1.

The courses are also tuned to the Cambridge examinations.

THE USE

We advise you personally, what the appropriate course level for you. A written assessment test - even fill online - allows a precise identification of your knowledge. The grid for self-assessment (PDF) of your knowledge offers an additional opportunity to use your knowledge insecure.

Condition in order to BLC as a coach to start is a recognized educational training. All English trainer participate in our internal training programme, which specifically for BLC in England together.
All coaches teach in their native language and come from the United States, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The German coach come from the German-speaking countries. On completing Unit 6 you will have acquired a functional vocabulary and will be able to join in simple conversations in social situations. GIBS is a bilingual (German-English) senior secondary school. At present the school comprises more than 400 students and 47 teaching staff. The rest of the team is made up of the French-, English- and Spanish-speaking co-teachers, the secretary and the janitor.

The language of instruction is English in the form of "flexible monolingualism". The first three months of Year 1 take the form of an intensive phase of language acquisition after which the students have reached a level of language competence which enables them to participate in lessons conducted in the target language. Following the intensive phase, linguistic back-up for other subjects is provided when required in the English class. In Year 7 History is taught in French.
During the first five school years in particular, different subjects collaborate on broad projects that supplement language instruction. Between Year 6 and Year 8, the upper level course system ensures the interconnection and deepening of learning material. Students from non-German speaking countries receive instruction in German as a foreign language. Their evaluation is in accordance to § 18/12 of the School Instruction Guidelines which allows students to select either German or English as their first language of instruction and be thereby assessed accordingly.

inlingua opened in Carinthia a language center - the seventh inlingua school in Austria. The seat of the inlingua Language Centers Carinthia is in Villach, where, in addition to the course secretariat also four classrooms for small group classes, seminars, training sessions and individual CALT (computer-assisted language training).
